Police warn about Chime payment scam

BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are warning about a recent influx in scam activity.

The Berea Police department says they have been receiving several calls about scams, and almost all of these scams have involved paying someone through the Chime service.

Berea Police recommend being cautious when sending money through payment services, and advise calling authorities if you are contacted by a potential scammer before sending any money.
