CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say a Manchester man died after he was hit by a UTV Thursday afternoon.
KSP Post 11 in London says troopers were called around 1 p.m. in Manchester after a report from Clay County 911.
Investigators say a Polaris UTV driven by Skyler L. Robinson, 34, of Manchester, was traveling east on Robinson Creek Road while checking on farmland in the area. Troopers say a pedestrian, later identified as Robert L. Fisher Jr., 56, of Manchester, stepped from the shoulder into the UTV’s path, and Robinson was unable to avoid him.
Fisher was taken to AdventHealth Manchester by Clay County EMS, where he later died. The Clay County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead.
The crash remains under investigation by KSP Detective Shane Bowling. KSP says drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor, but toxicology results are pending.
