LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Drivers around Blue Grass Airport may have noticed a government plane that looked like Air Force Two touch down on Wednesday.
However, airport officials confirmed that neither Vice President J.D. Vance nor any other “special visitor” was on board.
Spokesperson Amy Caudill said the government plane was practicing “touch and go” exercises, where pilots land and immediately take off again to hone their skills.
Caudill said it is common for military and government planes to perform such exercises at Blue Grass, and today was part of that regular practice.
