Kentucky state troopers bury fallen colleague

KENTUCKY (WKYT) - A group of Kentucky state troopers upheld a promise to a fallen colleague over the weekend.

Following the funeral of Trooper Hayden Phillips his colleagues changed out of their uniforms to bury him themselves.

Phillips was just 28 when he was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 28.

People who knew him said that Phillips would do anything for anyone, loved the outdoor, enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball team and ahving Sunday dinner with his family.

He leaves behind a wife and three sons.
