LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington-based Emergency Disaster Services announced that its teams are pre-positioning resources ahead of a tropical storm expected to impact the Gulf this weekend.
EDS provides on-demand support, including disaster relief and debris management. The organization said its teams are ready to move quickly to provide housing, sanitation, food service and operational support communities and crews may need.
Tropical Storm Isaias formed early on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and forecasters say it is expected to upgrade into the first hurricane of the Atlantic season before hitting the U.S. Gulf Coast later in the week.
EDS said it is monitoring conditions closely.
