Missing man found dead in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - UPDATE: The Laurel County Sheriff reported Wayne Baker, 59, was found dead off Payne Trail Road two miles east of London just after noon on Saturday.

Baker’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said this is an ongoing death investigation.

ORIGINAL: A man has been reported missing in Laurel County.

The last contact with Wayne Baker, 59, was reported around noon Wednesday on Payne Trail, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Baker is 6 feet tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has gray hair cut above the ears, a goatee and blue eyes.
