New Shriners Hospital location in Lexington; mission still the same

For 60 years, Shriners Hospital for Children was located on Richmond Road in Lexington, but now they have a new home downtown.

The new facility is located at 110 Conn Terrace, across the street from UK Hospital.

This is the fourth Lexington location for Shriners Hospitals, but officials say their mission remains the same - to provide care to children regardless of a family's ability to pay.

The hospital's new location will allow staff to better serve patients through groundbreaking technology.

Patients will be treated at the new facility starting on Monday, April 17.

The former location on Richmond Road is still owned by Shriners Hospitals, but it is currently up for sale with a listing price of $23.7 million.
