Second person arrested, charged with murder in connection with Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A second person has been arrested in connection with a Lexington shooting that left one person dead.
Jordan Jackson, 19, turned himself in and was taken into custody by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Lexington Police Department. He was charged with murder and first-degree robbery.

The shooting occurred Friday, Aug. 21, on Tilden Road, and resulted in the death of 19-year-old Jarell Rojas, who police say was driving a car at the time of the incident.
During the course of the investigation, a criminal complaint alleges that three suspects, one later being identified as Jackson, were observed being directly involved with the homicide and theft of cash.
According to the complaint, call detail records, surveillance footage and a GPS tracker on the vehicle suggested Jackson was in the suspect vehicle prior to the homicide.
The data reportedly revealed that the phone and GPS show the location at the homicide scene while the suspects waited for the victim.
The complaint also says the location data shows the suspects at the scene at the time of the incident and matches the vehicle as it flees.
Another man, Isaiah Padgett, 19, was also arrested in connection with the shooting, and was charged with complicity to murder, fleeing and filing a false report.
Jackson is currently being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
Both he and Padgett were arraigned on Thursday. Both have a preliminary hearing scheduled for next Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 8:30 a.m.
