Longtime Lexington coffee shop announces permanent closure

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A longtime Lexington coffee shop is closing its doors forever.

Third Street Stuff & Coffee announced it will not reopen following what was described as a transition period in June.

“Third Street Stuff has made the difficult decision to close permanently,” a social media post reads. “We will miss the community and very much appreciate everyone’s support. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your story.”

New owners were supposed to take over after Pat Gerhard, the owner, announced her retirement earlier this year.
