LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Book lovers gathered at Joseph’s Booksellers at Lexington Green on Saturday, Nov. 7 for the 45th Kentucky Book Festival.

The event featured performances, story time for children, an illustration barn, and book signings by a variety of authors.

“Whether you’re, you know, an eight-year-old or an 80-year-old. Meeting that author will make that connection with the author and with the book,” Jay McCoy, director of the Kentucky Book Fair, said. “The great thing of having all of these authors here on one day is you can wander through, and you may find your new favorite author and actually get to talk to them.”

The festival also works closely with the Kentucky Center for the Book, working with other book festivals in all 50 states and six U.S. territories.
