Robot Gladiator League competition held at Dunbar High School

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - About 20 teams took part in a Robot Gladiator League competition at Dunbar High School, drawing a packed crowd to the gym.

The league features combat robotics in the 40-kilogram weight class. Dunbar junior Logan Buck competed for the third year.

“Just the environment, just to stress test all of our ideas out in the arena. It’s just something different,” Buck said.

Buck said his team has about 18 active members. They spent a month and a half building their robot, sometimes working 12- to 16-hour days.
