Janet Jackson has rescheduled her "Unbreakable" tour, but she will no longer be coming to Rupp Arena.

Jackson announced the rescheduled dates for the North American leg of her Unbreakable World Tour, and Lexington was not on the list of cities where she would perform.

Officials at Rupp said the concert would not be rescheduled for Lexington "due to the upcoming technical upgrades to Rupp Arena scheduled to be done this summer."

Refunds will become available immediately, according to a release.

Carl Hall, director of arena management, told WKYT that all tickets will be refunded. If you bought them on Ticketmaster.com, your money will be automatically refunded. If you bought them at the box office or another physical location, return to that location and get your refund.

If you bought your tickets secondhand from someone, it is a little trickier.

"If you bought it on the secondary market, wherever it may be, you have to go back to where you purchase it, also, even though you have a Ticketmaster ticket, potentially," Hall said. "If it's not in your name and in your account, you won't be refunded on that. So anyone who bought it on the secondary market has to go back to their original purchaser as well."

Rupp Arena is scheduled to be closed for events between June and October, with the exception of the circus. Hall said they will be closed from mid-June until September for structural and steel work. After the circus leaves, they will be closed again to install a new video board, which is scheduled to debut at Big Blue Madness.

Hall said they have had the renovations scheduled for about two years, and when Jackson needed to reschedule her Lexington show, there was just no way to make it work.

Jackson was initially scheduled to perform at Rupp Arena on Jan. 30. But, in December, the 49-year-old singer posted a message on her website and social media sites announcing that all future tour dates had been postponed until the spring.

The singer's statement asked for prayers of support and said no further details on her medical condition would be disclosed.

Her "Unbreakable" tour has been the Top 20 global concert tour listing compiled by Pollstar. Jackson's catalog of hits dates back to the mid-1980s, ranging from "What Have You Done for Me Lately" to "That's the Way Love Goes" and "All for You."

The tour is scheduled to kick off March 30 in the United Kingdom. After making stops in Ireland, France, Switzerland and Germany through May, Jackson will begin the stateside leg of her tour in Las Vegas.

Jackson is scheduled to perform at the KFC Yum! Center on June 8.
